9/11/2001 was not the first "terrorist" attack against United States military forces. These have been going on since the early 1970's. First they were small attacks while the opposition tested their ability. Over the years these attacks have gotten larger and larger culminating in 9/11/2001 where numerous non-combatants were blatantly murdered while they worked. This included individuals from many different religions, races, beliefs and ideas. The people attacking the twin towers in New York didn't give a tinker's d___ about the people in those towers.

Any professional military person prepares for war and prays for peace.

The terrorists have shown through their indiscriminate bombings and assaults that they don't care who gets killed. They just want their so called opposition to back down.

The United States of America never did much against the "terrorist attacks" until after 9/11/2001 and President George W. Bush.

When the Japanese performed a sneak attack on Pearl Harbor on 07 December 1941 it was considered an act of war.

9/11/2001 was a sneak attack also if you really stop and think about it.

would a Media and or a Government who uses FEAR to excercise control over the people be considered TERROR-ists ?

Using terror to control?

Using people's FEARS to control?

What about the government's "Terrorism Alert" …

just what the HECK is that supposed to tell is in REALITY?

no details … just be more fearful this Tuesday then last Tuesday??

modern terrorism defined:

an act for which the government sees an opportunity to raise fears in the population – in order to bring about changes in the laws that people normally would not have approved.

order out of chaos…

or the Hegelian Principle.

1.) Planned Change
2.) Create conflict
3.) Create opposition to conflict;
eg, fear, panic, hysteria.
4.)Offer the solution to the problem created by step one.
Change, which would have been impossible
without the proper conditioning (steps one and
two), is achieved.

"Saul Alinsky, in his book, Rules for Radicals, stated:

"Any revolutionary change must be preceded by a passive, affirmative, non-challenging attitude toward change among the mass of our people. They must feel so frustrated, so defeated, so lost, so futureless in the prevailing system that they are willing to let go of the past and chance the future".

To rephrase this quote — people must become so tired of the chaos, the constant state of crisis creating stress and disruption in their lives, that they will do anything to attain peace and quiet. At this point they will accept tyranny to achieve order out of chaos. In this vein, the crises created must be of the magnitude to create mass chaos… "
