Candle Fire

I lit a candle for you my love
though small and quaint, it's all I have to give
but you know my dear
there is not a star in that burns hotter
nor an ocean larger
than that little candle
there is not a mountain more beautiful
nor a force more powerful
than it's flickering flame
because with the stroke of a match
I put my love into it's fire
the love I feel for you
so there will never be a palace as majestic
with an emperor half as wealthy
as a single flash of light
burning from that quaint little candle
