So sayeth the Illuminati.
The glass analogy is flawed. The water outside of the glass lies directly on the glass, and doesn't suffuse the air around it. One would assume the energy on this side of the Shadowline would be relatively evenly spread out.
Of course, I assume this was intentional.
Either way, sounds intriguing, I'll be checking for the next chapter.

I think that this story shall shape out very well. It is quite deep to say the least. Very interesting and raises many questions, both of which are enjoyable. Being a writer myself I see it a challenge to capture such philosophical complexity, yet simplicity in which you seem to master within your words. Indeed, nothing sort of exquisite talent. I applaud and respect your way with words and with such an outlook and the world that we inhabit. Very good work. I hope that you definately continue with this story, it's great. –Sapphira
